Janet is a Hong Kong based Filipino artist and her passion in arts started at very young age.  People have always been her favourite subject, apart from animals and birds.  She comes from a family where drawing is a natural skill and everyone sketches.  She was strongly encouraged by her friends, family members and her husband to take up painting as a full-time profession after seeing her sketches. Through hardwork, perseverance and practice she developed her art skills rapidly. Initially she drew in ballpoint pen and graphite, then slowly self taught herself on other mediums like watercolour, acrylic, color pencils and pastels.  Apart from people, she loves nature and has broadened her work to include animals, landscapes and flowers. For her first art exhibition in Hong Kong in 2008 she displayed portraits and paintings done on wild life as the main theme.
